Students Kiran Evetts and Moss Andrew-Beale are embarking on a charity tour (Key Changes) of Southern England spanning 11 locations and 16 performances – one for each million affected by mental health issues.
The pair who both study on our Music Production Diploma, will be raising money for mental health charity Key Changes by busking and via their Just Giving page.
“We’re really, really grateful to Kiran and the Revival for putting together this tour, and promoting the cause really, to try and help other people and students, to understand that there is help out there if people are feeling affected by mental health issues. At College, at Uni, these can be stressful times for people – so it’s a great idea that Kiran has had to take the band out on tour and bring some positive energy to the streets of South England and also to raise some money for us. “
Peter Leigh, the CEO of Key Changes
Key Changes is a music charity that provides music sessions for those who experience mental health issues. Working mainly with young people and young adults, Key Changes provides access to music industry mentors who support young people in writing, producing, performing and recording music. Music is well known to have a positive effect on those suffering with mental health issues and it also is a great opportunity for them to learn a new skill and access mainstream life again after a mental health crisis.
Covering Guildford, Woking, Reading, Portsmouth and Brighton, Kiran and Moss hope to not only raise money for the charity but awareness about the importance of wellbeing within the music industry also.
“As an Academy with a strong focus on wellbeing and with an award-winning student services team, we are so proud of our students Kiran and Moss for supporting such a worthy cause.”
Lee Fellows, Head of Student Services
