We are delighted to announce that we won two awards at the first Independent HE Annual Awards on Monday 27th November 2017.
The IHE Awards are held to recognise and celebrate innovation and best practice across the independent higher education sector.
The categories won by us at the event were ‘Industry Partnership of the Year’ and ‘Outstanding Support for Student Learning’. It’s an excellent demonstration of how highly-regarded ACM is within the sector, especially considering the calibre of nominees in all categories.
The Industry Partnership of the Year Award 2017
We won this award for our strong partnership with Metropolis Studios, which recognises our excellence in delivering industry-focused provision through our learning-by-doing ethos.
ACM and Metropolis Studios work in partnership together, creating unique pathways and real-life industry engagement and scholarship opportunities for students through masterclasses, student showcases, and student participation at Acoustic Lunch sessions and Metropolis Rising events.

Outstanding Support for Student Learning Award 2017
We won this award for our innovative approaches to enhancing and transforming the student learning experience. AMOSSHE and IHE recognised ACM for our excellent institution-wide triage process which offers support specific to a student’s academic, wellbeing and career needs. We were commended for our forward-thinking approach to student support in the following areas: Accommodation, Disability and Education Guidance, Counselling, Receptions, Student Support and Wellbeing, all reinforced by our ‘one stop shop’ ethos Student Hubs.

Independent HE is the UK membership organisation and national representative body for independent providers of higher education, professional training and pathways. Independent HE works to promote, support and enhance the independent tertiary education sector.
